In the Spotlight: Project PREMIE and TC House
By Anna Chase, Program Manager
The Good Samaritan Project P.R.E.M.I.E. and Transitional Center for Women is a uniquely designed, trauma-informed campus that provides gender-specific services exclusively to women, with a special focus on mothers. Our campus offers both outpatient and residential treatment programs, designed to meet women where they are in their recovery journey.
Family-Centered Treatment
A hallmark of our approach is the provision of on-site child care, allowing mothers to focus on their recovery while knowing their children are safe and cared for nearby. This model fosters stronger outcomes by simultaneously addressing the needs of the mother and her child.
Outpatient Services
Our outpatient program includes three levels of care, offering flexible, client-centered support:
Level 2.1 Intensive Outpatient: Provides a higher level of structured care and clinical support. Clients in this level may also reside in transitional housing to ensure stability while receiving intensive therapeutic services.
Level 1.0 Outpatient: Offers a lower level of care focused on continued engagement in treatment and maintaining recovery goals.
Recovery Services: Designed for clients transitioning out of active treatment, these services offer ongoing support and resources to maintain sobriety and promote long-term wellness.
Residential Treatment at “TC House”
When outpatient support is insufficient, women may enter our Transitional Center for Women and Children (TC House)—a safe, home-like residential facility that offers 24/7 structured support.
Capacity: The TC House can accommodate up to 20 women and their children.
Programming: Residents participate in daily, in-house groups, including Life Skills, Health and Wellness, and various Substance Use Disorder (SUD) groups, utilizing evidence-based curricula.
Case Management: All residents and outpatient clients receive personalized case management to connect them with essential community services, including housing, employment, medical care, and parenting support.
Clinical Preparation: Clinically directed staff work with clients to prepare them for outpatient services to ensure continuity of care and sustained recovery.
On-Site Detoxification Services
TC House is equipped to support women experiencing mild to moderate withdrawal symptoms:
Observation Protocol: Clients are closely monitored by trained staff with face-to-face physical checks every 30 minutes during the first 72 hours after admission.
Medical Assessment: After the initial 24 hours, observation frequency may be adjusted based on medical assessment by licensed professionals.
Continuum of Care: Upon stabilization, clients transition into the residential treatment program to continue their recovery.
Our Commitment
The Good Samaritan Project P.R.E.M.I.E. and Transitional Center for Women is dedicated to empowering women—especially mothers—to achieve sustained recovery while keeping families together. By offering a full continuum of care in a supportive, healing environment, we strive to restore lives and build healthy futures.
